When the idea for Bruegger’s Bagels was born, the first thing we did was head for the Big Apple. We spent two and a half years working with a professional bagel baker to perfect our recipe and process.

In 1983, we opened our first location in Troy, New York and we’ve been serving authentic, NY-style bagels ever since.
