Holiday Season "Officially" Begins in 8 Days! Bruegger's Launches 2005 Holiday Gift Program

Offers guests reloadable gift cards, "bottomless" mugs, holiday mugs and new seasonal flavors; Launches online sales of gift cards on Bruegger's website

Burlington, Vt. (November 18, 2005) - 'Tis the season for giving. With the 2005 holiday season just around the corner, Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc. is introducing an array of gift-giving choices for its 2005 holiday gift program. To help kick off the holiday season, the company launched a new marketing campaign surrounding Bruegger's most popular gift items - the reloadable gift card and bottomless mug. For 2005, Bruegger's is also introducing a new holiday mug and adds new winter feature flavors to the menu.

In keeping with its annual tradition, Bruegger's is offering guests the Bottomless Mug. The mugs retail for $99 and allow guests free refills on coffee, tea or soda at participating bakeries until December 31, 2006. Guests who purchase the mug also receive a unique pass to join the online "Bruegger's Mug Club", an exclusive club that offers mug club members unique coupons, promotions and discounts.

"Bottomless mugs are certainly one of our most popular gift items," said James Greco, chief executive officer, Bruegger's. "They're a gift that keeps on giving by offering our guests a great value with a year's worth of free refills. Not only do they make the perfect gift, but we also find that many of our loyal guests treat themselves to a bottomless mug during the holiday season."

Greco also added that gift cards also remain at the top of Bruegger's holiday items. "Gift cards are a gift that's hassle free. You don't have to worry about colors, sizes or returns. They're also an alternative to carrying cash, are quick and can be reused throughout the year when reloaded."

Perfect stocking stuffers for family, friends, college students and co-workers, the company's most popular gift item is the reloadable gift card. Easier to carry and redeem than traditional gift certificates, gift cards quickly have become one of the holiday seasons most popular gift items. According to a recent holiday spending survey from the National Retail Federation, gift cards ranked as the third most desirable category on consumers' wish lists.

Bruegger's gift cards are also available for purchase through a secure server on the Bruegger's website at www.brueggers.com. Gift cards are available in denominations of $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100.

"We experienced a tremendous amount of gift card sales for the 2004 holiday season," commented Greco. "We rounded out 2004 with a thirty-percent increase in gift card sales over 2003. With the added online sales component, we're expecting 2005 gift card sales to be even more successful."

Also available is the Bruegger's holiday coffee mug filled with a pack of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Fair Trade Organic House Blend coffee, a biscotti, a coupon for three free bagels, two Lake Champlain Chocolate chocolate squares and a peppermint stick. The mug retails for $9.99.

And after all the shopping has been done, there are two new delicious menu items to indulge in - a new Chipotle Salsa cream cheese and a Fair Trade Spicy Eggnog coffee blend. Both winter flavors were added to the menu for some zing.
