Growing Bakery-Cafe Adds Authentic Artisan Ciabatta to the Menu

Burlington, Vt. (November 1, 2006) - Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc. is introducing authentic Ciabatta, a warm, crisp artisan roll that will be the platform for two new Italian gourmet sandwiches. Ciabatta is a soft, porous bread with a crackling crust that originated in Italy. The popular bread takes its name from the Italian word for "slipper" because of its oblong shape.

The Chicken Pesto Sandwich will feature tasty, grilled chicken breast with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, balsamic dressing and basil pesto mayonnaise. The Roast Beef Caesar will include savory roast beef with lettuce, roasted red peppers, red onions, balsamic dressing and Caesar dressing. Guests can now order any of their favorite Bruegger's deli or specialty sandwiches on Ciabatta.

"Ciabatta is a perfect choice for a hearty sandwich. Now guests have the option to enjoy one of our renowned bagels, a specialty Softwich, wrap or one of our new gourmet sandwiches on a freshly baked Ciabatta," said Bruegger's Chief Executive Officer James Greco.
