Bruegger's Continues Growth in South Carolina; Bakery-Cafe Experience Comes to Greenville
Portion of grand opening sales to benefit the Greenville Hospital System Pediatric Oncology Research Efforts
Greenville, S.C. (October 18, 2007) – The fresh bakery-café experience
of Bruegger’s has officially arrived in Greenville. Bruegger’s
Enterprises, Inc. opened the first of several Bruegger’s bakery-cafes
in Greenville in Lewis Plaza at 1726 Augusta Street. To celebrate the
occasion and thank the community for its support, a portion of opening day
sales will be donated to the Greenville Hospital System pediatric oncology
research efforts.
Greenville Mayor Knox H. White, members of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce,
and representatives from the Greenville Hospital System joined Bruegger’s
CEO James Greco for the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
The bakery has seating for up to 60 guests, and offers guests the added convenience
of free, unlimited wireless Internet along with a drive-thru. The new bakery
currently employs 16 people. The bakery is open Monday through Friday
from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday
from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The new bakery also brings 15 new jobs to Greenville County and has indoor
seating for up to 60 guests. In addition, this location features Bruegger’s
updated bakery-cafe design which utilizes a soft color scheme, emphasizing
natural textures and warm tones balanced with bright colors to make an inviting
space for guests. The bakery also features a drive-thru service, free unlimited
wireless Internet and outdoor seating for 16 guests.

There are currently three other Bruegger’s locations in South Carolina.
The first Bruegger’s bakery-cafe opened in Charleston in August of 2006.
