Chris Cheek Named VP of Franchise Development for Bruegger's

Will be responsible for securing franchise commitments for Bruegger's

BURLINGTON, Vt. (October 9, 2006) - Chris Cheek has been named Vice President of Franchise Development for Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc. Cheek's responsibilities will include securing new bakery franchise commitments for Bruegger's as well as commitments for non-traditional locations that offer additional points of distribution for the Bruegger's brand. Cheek will also be responsible for the ongoing business relationship with franchisees. Cheek will report to Bruegger's Chief Executive Officer James J. Greco.

"This is a new position at Bruegger's and we believe Chris' expertise will be an enormous asset as we continue with our expansion plans," said Greco. Bruegger's expects to open 50 new locations in 2007 and another 50 in 2008.

Cheek brings more than 16 years of experience in franchising, business development, sales and marketing to Bruegger's. Prior to this appointment, Cheek was the vice president of franchising for Bear Rock Franchise Systems, Inc.

Cheek received his Bachelors of Science from North Carolina State University.
