WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (September 5, 2007) – Winston-Salem’s newest
Bruegger’s bakery-cafe location has officially opened in the Nissen Building
at 310-314 West Fourth Street. This is the third location in Winston-Salem
for the Bagel Boys of the Triad, Inc., a franchisee of Bruegger’s Enterprises,
Inc., who also operates locations at 205 South Stratford Road and a drive-thru
location at 2545 Somerset Center Drive.
The Nissen Building bakery-cafe brings 15 jobs to Winston-Salem and has indoor

design which utilizes a soft color scheme, emphasizing natural textures and
warm tones balanced with bright colors to make an inviting space for guests.
The new bakery also features free, unlimited wireless Internet.
“Bruegger’s is growing here in North Carolina and we are pleased
to be able to serve our guests in a space that is convenient to both their
offices and homes,” said Ralph Heckman, co-owner of the Bagel Boys of
the Triad, Inc., a franchisee of Bruegger’s. “In addition to Bruegger’s
signature boiled and baked bagels, we will offer guests a extensive menu featuring
freshly prepared salads, hand-crafted breakfast and lunch sandwiches and our
new signature soups.”
“Bruegger’s is proud to be part of the Winston-Salem community
as the brand grows with the Bagel Boys franchise group. Our franchisee’s
knowledge of this market has been integral to both organizations’ success,” said
James J. Greco, chief executive officer, Bruegger’s Enterprises, Inc.
The bakery-cafe is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays.
Kettle boiled first and baked fresh throughout the day, Bruegger’s bagels
have a delicious, crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on
the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger’s offers an extensive
menu that includes hand-crafted, fresh-tossed salads, signature soups, made-to-order
sandwiches and unique Green Mountain Coffee Roasters coffee blends, including
a daily Fair Trade Certified blend. Bruegger’s is one of the
largest distributors of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Fair Trade Certified coffee.
More than 100 of Bruegger’s 259 locations are operated by franchisee
owners like Bagel Boys of the Triad. The new bakery-cafe also shares space
with Dilworth Coffee which offers guests specialty coffees, espresso, smoothies
and pastries.
