Las Vegas Bagel Lovers Hit the Jackpot
New development agreement signed to develop three bakery-cafes in fastest growing state in the nation
BURLINGTON, Vt. (May 23, 2007) – Bruegger’s Enterprises, Inc. announced today it has secured an agreement to expand its presence in the West and bring its popular, fresh, hot bagels to Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the new franchise agreement, Gourmet Bakery, Ltd. will develop three new bakery-cafes in the Las Vegas area. “There is a market for the upscale fast casual segment in Las Vegas as the population increases and the tourism industry continues to grow,” said Bruegger’s Vice President of Franchise Development Chris Cheek. “Gourmet Bakery is excited about the opportunity to bring Bruegger's to the Las Vegas market."

Site selection is underway for the first unit, which is planned to open later this year. Gourmet Bakery Ltd.’s development agreement covers the Las Vegas market.
Bruegger’s plans to open 40 bakeries this year and another 50 in 2008. More than 100 of Bruegger’s 255 bakery-cafes are owned by franchisees, and the company is seeking additional qualified franchise partners for select U.S. markets.
Kettle boiled first; Bruegger’s bagels are baked fresh throughout the day to give them an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside.
