Now Arriving at Boston Logan International: Bruegger's Hot-From-The-Oven Bagels
Bakery-cafe chain opens second airport location
Burlington, Vt. (March 20, 2008) – International travelers heading out
of Boston will certainly require passports, but one carry-on they won’t
want to forget is a delicious meal from Bruegger’s. Today, Bruegger’s
Enterprises, Inc. announced the grand opening of its newest bakery-cafe located
in Terminal E at Boston Logan Airport.
Bruegger’s opened its first airport location in February 2008 at Cincinnati/Northern
Kentucky International Airport. A third airport bakery is planned for
Raleigh-Durham International Airport in late summer 2008.
The new bakery is located before the security gates and will serve international
travelers flying on airlines such as Aer Lingus, Air France, Alitalia, Icelandair,
British Airways, Lufthansa and many others.
“This is the second airport location for Bruegger’s,” said
James J. Greco, Bruegger’s CEO. “The greater Boston area is one
of our largest markets with more than 20 bakeries, and now airport employees
and our guests traveling abroad can enjoy one of their favorite local meals.”
The new airport location has seating for up to 12 guests and will employ approximately
15 people. A limited number of menu items will also be available for grab-and-go
for employees and passengers on the run. The bakery is open daily from 6 a.m.
to 9 p.m.
Kettle boiled first; Bruegger’s bagels are baked fresh throughout the
day to give them an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy
texture on the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger’s offers
an extensive menu free of artificial trans fats. Menu items include new
Signature Soups, hand-crafted, fresh-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches
and unique Green Mountain Coffee Roasters® coffee blends, including a daily
Fair Trade CertifiedÔ blend.
