Portion of opening day proceeds to benefit the Deaf Services Center; Local franchise group to develop several bakery-cafes in the Columbus area
Dublin, Ohio (March 13, 2008) – The fresh bakery-cafe experience of
Bruegger’s has officially arrived in Dublin. The North Coast Bakeries
franchise group, led by principals Deborah and Michael Salcone, opened
the first of several Bruegger’s bakery-cafes in the greater Columbus
area. The new bakery is located in The Shoppes at River Ridge, a newly
opened upscale lifestyle retail center, at 4425 West Dublin Granville Road.
To celebrate the occasion and thank the community for its support, a portion
of opening day sales will be donated to the Deaf Services Center, a member
of the Ohio Alliance of Community Centers for the Deaf.
A ribbon cutting ceremony led by Dublin Vice Mayor Cathy Boring and representatives
from the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, the Deaf Services Center and Bruegger’s
marked the grand opening.
“We are excited to bring Bruegger’s bagels back to Dublin,” said
Deborah Salcone, Bruegger’s franchisee. “Bruegger’s is well
known throughout Ohio and we are looking forward to developing this market. This
is the first of several bakeries planned for the Columbus area.”

role to the overall success and growth of Bruegger’s,” said Bruegger’s
CEO James Greco. “We are proud to be a part this community and I know
our delicious sandwiches, soups and salads will be very popular here in Dublin.”
Deborah Salcone also added that the menu will feature a special treat, just
in time for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. “Our menu will feature
festive, green-colored bagels for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Dublin
Ohio is one of the greatest places in the world to celebrate St. Patrick’s
Day and this is a Bruegger’s tradition of getting in on the holiday fun.” The
green bagels will be available Thursday March 13 through Monday March 17.
The new bakery has seating for up to 42 guests and will employ approximately
20 people. The bakery is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00
