Bruegger’s Lands in Raleigh-Durham Airport
(BURLINGTON, VT.) – J.Q. Enterprises Inc. led by Sheldon Poole celebrated the opening of Bruegger’s third airport location on Wednesday, November 12 in North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham Airport’s new Terminal 2.
Poole’s bakery is the first franchised-owned bakery in an airport. Bruegger’s also has bakeries in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport and Boston Logan Airport. A native of Detroit, Poole also owns Crosswinds Café in RDU’s Terminal 1.
“As an airport franchisee, I understand that the success of our business is based on quickly and efficiently delivering great food, at a great price,” said Poole. “Bruegger’s concept provides that and their reputation speaks for itself.”
“We’re very excited about the opening of our third airport location,” Bruegger’s CEO Jim Greco said. “Sheldon’s previous experience as an airport franchisee coupled with Bruegger’s reputation for delivering delicious, quality food at a value, we believe, will be a successful combination in the fast-paced world of airport concessions.”
The RDU “airside” location is only accessible to Terminal 2 travelers. It seats 50 guests and employs 30 team members. The bakery is open seven days a week from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Bruegger's kettle-boils and bakes bagels every day, throughout the day, to give the bagels an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger's offers an extensive menu that includes fresh-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches and unique coffee blends, including a daily Fair Trade CertifiedTM blend.
