It's a Sure Bet! Bruegger's Rolls into Las Vegas

Portion of opening day proceeds to benefit Opportunity Village; Local franchise group to develop several bakery-cafes in area

Las Vegas (August 28, 2008) - The fresh bakery-cafe experience of Bruegger's has officially arrived in Las Vegas. The Gourmet Bakery franchise group, led by principal Roland Werner, opened the first of several Bruegger's bakery-cafes in the Las Vegas area. The new bakery is located at 4165 South Grand Canyon.

To celebrate the opening and thank the community for its support, a portion of opening day sales was donated to Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services.

The occasion was marked by an official ribbon "slicing" ceremony that was led by Bruegger's Director of Franchise Operations Pam White and franchisee Roland Werner. Also participating in the event were representatives from Clark County and Opportunity Village.

"I am thrilled about bringing Bruegger's back to Las Vegas," said Roland Werner, Bruegger's franchisee. "Bruegger's is best known for its authentic New York-style bagels and I look forward to bringing that experience here to Las Vegas."

The new bakery has seating for up to 54 guests and will employ approximately 15 people. The bakery is open Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The bakery also features free, unlimited wireless Internet access.

Kettle boiled first; Bruegger's bagels are baked fresh throughout the day to give them an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger's offers an extensive menu free of artificial trans fats. Menu items include new Signature Soups, hand-crafted, fresh-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches and unique Green Mountain Coffee Roasters® coffee blends, including a daily Fair Trade Certified™ blend.
