Bruegger's Bakery Cafe Opens in Upper Arlington, OH

Neighborhood favorite to bring authentic New York bagels, healthy options

On November 26, Bruegger’s opened its newest bakery-café in The Shops on Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington.  Located at 1621 W. Lane Avenue near the intersection of Westmont Blvd. and Lane Avenue, this is the second bakery opened by The North Coast Bakeries franchise group, led by principals Deborah and Mike Salcone.  It is Bruegger’s third restaurant in the Columbus area.

To celebrate the new bakery, Bruegger’s will host an official grand opening event and “Ringing in the New Year” celebration Thursday, Jan. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 24. The bakery’s first 25 guests on Thursday and Friday morning will win a 2010 Bruegger’s Bottomless Mug and membership in the Bottomless Mug Club, which entitles the user to free, unlimited refills of coffee, tea or soda through December 31, 2010.

Upper Arlington city officials and representatives from the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce will lead the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21. 

Throughout the four-day affair, guests can participate in special promotions. 
A portion of opening day sales will be donated to The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the Deaf Services Center, a member of the Ohio Alliance of Community Centers for the Deaf.

The 1,830 square foot bakery-café features indoor seating for 36 guests and additional seating for 8 in the restaurant’s patio area. The bakery also offers free WIFI, an extensive menu and catering services for guests.

With a commitment to freshness, every Bruegger’s features authentically made bagels and bread baked on site throughout the day. The menu is full of other classics like breakfast sandwiches, freshly tossed salads, seasonal soups and made-to-order sandwiches. Coffee is always brewing, including a daily Fair Trade Certified? blend from Green Mountain Coffee®. Guests choosing to dine in can take advantage of free wireless access and free coffee refills.
Regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
