Bruegger’s Bakery-Cafe Opens in Bexley
Bexley Community Receives First Taste of Authentic New York Style Bagels
(Bexley, OH) – On Friday, May 8, Bruegger’s Bakery-Café will celebrate the grand opening of its first bakery in Bexley, OH. Located at 2510 East Main Street, the bakery and café will open with the company’s new sandwich menu, launched in February 2009.
Bakery operator Michael Contes will officially welcome his new neighbors with a three-day celebration that kicks off Friday morning, May 8 with giveaways and special offers that extend through the weekend. Bexley mayor John Brennan and other city officials will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Bruegger’s mascot “Brueggie” will also attend. On Saturday and Sunday from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., a face painter and balloon animal artist will provide fun entertainment for children. In addition, a portion of proceeds from the weekend’s sales will benefit the Bexley Education Foundation.

Bruegger’s newest location will provide guests with a comfortable and warm atmosphere to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a wholesome meal. With a total square footage of 2,250 square feet, the bakery will feature 44 indoor seats with outdoor seating for 22. The bakery will employ approximately 21 people.
The bakery-café will also feature free wireless. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Bruegger’s bagels are baked fresh throughout the day to give them an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger’s offers an extensive menu free of artificial trans fats. Menu items include Signature Soups, fresh-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches on freshly baked bread and unique Green Mountain Coffee Roasters® coffee blends, including a daily Fair Trade Certified? blend.
